This zine is a overview as my time as cultural dancer, starting my time as a performer for the KAYA Youth Group. The zine covers the three Khmer cultural dances that I performed during the Lynn Khmer New Festival around 2015.
The three dances featured in the zine are:
- Coconut Dance
- Monkey Dance
- Scarf Dance
I cover the historical significance of the dance as well as provide a personal anecdote of my experiences of these dances.
For the New Years
This mini-zine is a photo collection of my home during Khmer New Years as I celebrate the festivities with my family. This is a companion piece to the prior zine. Both zines were Risographed and 20 editions were produced for class purposes. Photos were obtained from personal archive.
